Food and the City with Chef Laura
Is it possible for a chef to get fed up of food? Maybe. Especially if that chef spends three full days at the Fancy Food Show. But when you’re in NYC you can’t help but be excited about all things culinary.
After exhibiting her granola at the show for three days, Chef Laura Slama took us on a tour of Buon Italia in Chelsea Market. Proving that chefs can in fact get their fill of food, but the burning appetite quickly returns when they spot amazing and rare ingredients. It’s like a kid in candy store.
The excitement intensified during our next stop…JB Prince. Described as the “world’s finest chefs’ tools and equipment,” this store has everything from super rare Japanese vegetable slicers to immersion blenders the size of jackhammers.
Moral of the story? Well, there’s not one, but if you ever want to expand your horizons with kitchen gadgets and ingredients, NYC is a great place to be. In the meantime, you can just check out the video.
